The Association of Science Educators in Dentistry (ASEiD), formerly the Association of Basic Science Teachers in Dentistry (ABSTD), is a professional association dedicated to encouraging the integration of the basic sciences into contemporary undergraduate and postgraduate dental curricula.

The Summer Meeting of the Association was held at the University of Plymouth on the 6th and 7th of July and was themed around ‘e-Learning and Assessment in Dental Education’.
The Association welcomes applications for membership from clinicians, non-clinical academic staff, basic scientists, and all others interested in the role and delivery of basic sciences education to dental undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. If you are involved with undergraduate or postgraduate dental programmes or with courses preparing candidates for entry into the newer oral healthcare professions (e.g. Dental Therapy and Hygiene or Dental Technology), please consider joining ASEiD – MEMBERSHIP IS FREE!
